Not all work and no play, My mom has an amazing place up here. So I had to grab some photos of the girls. Look at Alison. She is so cute
There are a million ponds and fountains on the property, and Madison and Alison founds some tad poles in the ponds, It is truly the highlight of there trip. I guess we will be installing a pond when we return.

Well I am up in Washington State shooting some jobs, hosting a work shop and doing some other really cool shoots. My parents and my little brother live up here. Fireworks are a little different in WA LOL. GO BIG OR GO HOME is the motto (well my brother anyways) There are always huge parties. We went to a rocking block party are my parents' freinds house. Check out some fun pic I got up there.

Wow, so I have been so busy the last couple of weeks getting ready for Seattle and a very busy wedding season.

I had to take a sec to share this amazing moment in my life.

I was in Hollywood at an industry event a few weeks back. Guess who I bumped into?????   Alex Hill!!!!!!!!!! from Elysium Productions   ( I know, hold back your screams) . I went up to him at first to get a business card; asked where he was out of: (OC) and was like "Great! I don't know many video people from the OC". I looked down at his business card and ....... I thought it said Elysium. I had to remove my sunglasses for fear I was see things or had a mild heat stroke. NO, it was Alex Hill. I was completely speechless, my jaw dropped. I felt like a preteen meeting Miley Cyrus. OMG I know, I'm a nerd.

So me being me, I hand my 8K Camera over to a random person walking by and was like "please take our photo." LOL Check it out!

I'm the dork on the left =)

If that wasn't cool enough I got to meet Julie Hill, Alex's lovely wife and the master editor for Elysium.

I was completely honored to meet them both. Such warm, nice, humble people.

For all the non-fotographers reading this who have no clue who or why these people are such legends. Please check out there website, but make sure to have your tissue handy, you will need it.

Put it this way if Elysium's craftsmanship was a pair of shoes they would be Manolo Blahnik alligator boots.

I had such a wonderful time out in Hawaii with Malia and Robert for their wedding.

Wahiawa Botanical Garden
I love these gardens, It was breathtaking it feel as if we were walk in a tropical rain forest.
Wahi'awa Botanical Garden, or "Place of Noise", is cradled between the Wai'anae and Ko'olau mountain ranges. This garden is known as the "tropical jewel" of the Honolulu Botanical Gardens. Nestled on 27-acres. The garden and forested raven dates back to the 1920's when the land was used by sugar planters as an experimental arboretum.

Malia and Roberts reception was held at the Helemano. It was so warm and inviting. On the drive up the land was cover in pineapple fields. It was absolutely breathtaking

We did the day after shoot or "Trash the dress" on the west side of the island at Yokohama's This beach is breathtaking! The sand was amazing it felt like floam ... really it was so fluff and lite, it was really incredible
I am starting a sand collection from all my destination weddings.

THE DRESS tops: Malia designed this dress Both bustier were reconstructed from wedding uchikakes (kimonos) by HI by local designer Anne Namba,
The dress Bottom: Malia got a duchess silk dress and had it tailored by "crossroads tailors"

Make-up and hair: Malia's makeup and hair was done at the Kahala (yes the famous one) at the world renoun Connie Gayle Beauty Centre

Roberts fabulous shirt is from none other than Tommy Bahama

To Robert and Malia It was so wonderful meeting the two of you, I had such a great time photographing your "fabulosity" wedding. I really enjoyed meeting your family.

Thank you "mama Jonna" for greeting me at the airport and for my grand tour of the island!

Julia you were so much fun thank you for agreeing to become Madison's pen pal Have fun in school next year!

I thought I would post the fun stuff I saw in Hawaii first. I had such a great time, it was so amazing to meet Malia and Robert and their family. When I wasn't shooting, charging equipment, or downloading images. I was out finding anything to tell the story were Malia and Robert live. I found some really neat things.

I arrived in Hawaii Thur night Malia's mother Mama Jana picked me up from the airport really late. and was so kind to give me a grand tour of Waikiki. SO thank you soooo much Mama Jana =)

When I woke up I opened the blinds and this is what I saw

So amazing!!!!!!!

I had the day free so went sight seeing.

I knew the world famous Maui Divers was in town so I had to see them. You have seen Maui divers jewelry if you own a tv. They make some of the world most amazing jewel. What I didn't know is that they actually harvest the coral in a sub. Not subway and actual submarine.

American Deepwater Engineering operates state-of-the-art submersibles, called “Deepworker 2000”, which is a one-man piloted vessel that can reach ocean depths of 2,000 feet. 8.25 feet in length and 4.5 feet high the submersible is equipped with mechanical arms, which have proven to be a precise and careful method of harvesting the most valuable pink, red, and gold.

I arrived and they were just bringing in a new load of coral

a haul worth over 100,000 dollars!

LOL this is for my friend Shannon, as soon as she found out I was going to Hawaii, she wanted me to get a photo of dog the bounty hunter. LOL Shan Dog wasn't in but I got you a photo of his office.

Here is some other random things I saw

I love this shot It just feels SO free!

If you go to Hawaii with out seeing Hula dancers you should be fined. I was lucky to get press access to this Show they do in Waikiki every Friday night.

So Friday after the hula show, I was walking down the main strip and I got flyer after flyer for the gun range, I thought it was an odd thing to get. I came to find out that in most Asian countries guns are banned. SO I told him if I go up want my own personal paparazzi, so the gun instructor agreed and check it out! Both he and I are great shots =)

NO PHOTOSHOP!!!!!! He really caught this, WOW GREAT JOB MICHAEL!!!!

The day I was leaving for the airport I WAS SOOOOOOO LUCKY Robert and Malia treated me to a tour of the island. We went to sand beach. OMG the water is so clear!

Hey everyone I am back from Hawaii. I had an amazing time! The wedding was wonderful. Doing what I love in paradise, I was just in heaven. I am the happiest when I have a camera in my hands and four days of shooting, I think this will be hard to top.

I have some breathtaking images to share, some funny stories, even a scary moment on the plane ride home arriving at LAX with ambulances waiting on the tarmac for our plane.

Ok, not really, but close LOL. This is the funniest story I have ever blogged, and I must share. So today I had a photoshoot with Mark (you'll see the photos later on tonight) The shoot ended right when rush hour began, so forget that mess of traffic. I have some friends in West Hollywood , and we all went to grab some coffee, without my cameras. We ended up on Roberson by Kitsons. We see a horde of photographers out just kind of standing around.

So we stopped by, mind you I only had my point and shoot camera in my pocket. We found out that Paris Hilton is supposed to be stopping by at 6pm. It is 5:40. So Nickie (my friend) decides to fly back to her place to grab my cameras.

As I am standing around by myself waiting, so I started thinking (Which always gets me in trouble)...

'I am so blogging this!'

'How can I make this funny?'

and it hit me!

LMAO, I knew that everyone would be killing themselves to get shots of Paris.

So I decide HAHAHAHHAHA to spend my time getting photos of me! LMAO.

I know its brilliant, Right!

So, of course here comes Miss Hilton. I still only have my "point and shoot" camera and the mayhem begins.

Everyone is stopping, pushing, shoving everyone out of the way. What am I doing????

Turning around so I can get photos of myself in front of the mobb!! LOLOLOLOLOL

So at this moment, I was so distracting to everyone, with my one man paparazzi show, consisting of just myself. This women says, "Are you just taking photos of yourself, what about Paris?"

Now we are super close to her and she can hear us. I said, without missing a beat, "Don't worry I got some of her .... She is hot too." Keep in mind, up to this point Paris has kept the same expression on her face this entire walk and at that second she looks over......

BAM!

So the street we needed to take to get the place we had originally want to do their romantics was closed. Little did we know that this would be our lucky day Mary and Tom knew of this little shopping center close by that over looked the Queen Mary. After a absolute marathon week of five photo shoot, from 110* temps in Long Beach for Mary's wedding, swimming in ice cold waters to trash Hollys' Dress, miles of hiking for the TTD and Erickas' Pre wedding photos, a dip in the beach last night for Amy's Trash the dress, running thur the streets of Ventura at night. I'm sick. LOL But it was all worth it!!!!! The sessions were unforgettable. Absolutely amazing!! So new photos are coming, their just coming a little slower than normal. So Stay tuned!!!

Funny Commercial Shoot

Well I had my first wedding free weekend in along time. It was well over due, I have alot of editing to catch up on, but I had to post these funny photos from Sat.

On Saturday I had a commercial photo shoot starring our dog Dash. We have two Hairless Chinese Crested, yes they are an acquired tasted. LOL But a past wedding client of mine who has a clothing co. for dogs needed a flashy dog to promote her line and check out these photo. Dash is so cute!!!!

He is a sexy little man.

Well I just got home from the amazing wedding of Ryan and Roxanne. Its has been raining all weekend. When I left my home today I had my windshield wipers going, dark clouds blanketed the sky. In the 40 mins it took me to arrive to Wedgewood in Ventura. The sky had cleared, the sun was shining. Absolute miracle.

I had such a great time at this wedding I just had to post some photos from their day before I head off to bed.

What are Signatures?

Signatures are amazing detailed Photoshop editing work done to your images.

Why are they so special, doesn't everyone use Photoshop?

Yes, just about every photographer does use Photoshop to some degree or another. But not everyone has mastered this art. I have created a system of "actions" to take your photographs to a new level, making them truly hangable art!

Do I have to pay extra for this service?

Oh course not! In fact If I shot your wedding in 07' you should expect me to be contacting you soon needing an updated mailing address, because I will be going though many of the weddings and applying this new ground breaking editing process to your photos.

Do I still get normally edited images?

Yes your DVD's of images will have three files unedited, edited and signatures.

How many Signature Prints do I get?

About 100, If you are getting one of our new 100% in house, hand made flush bound albums most likely more.

Wow that was a lot of images LOL. I have a lot of shoots coming up, stay tuned for new work coming soon

Wow Jennifer is such a gorgeous bride, picture perfect, and such a sweet heart!!

"The Shoes"

Rich wasn't nervous at all getting ready in his hotel suite at The Embassy Suites Hotel .

...just a couple last minute checks in the mirror.

Jennifer and Rich's wedding was held at the San Buenaventura Mission, in historic downtown Ventura, CA

The reception was held at magnificent Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club in the Channel Islands Harbor

Yes, this cake tasted as good as it looked, topped with fresh red roses and covered in fresh red petals on every tier.

The highlight of the evening was when Jennifer's' brother Micheal performed, he is truly gifted.

After the reception we snuck away for some last minute beach photos.
